About Us

The Clearwater Ostomy Support Group is a 501-C3 non-profit organization that provides support to those living in Tampa Bay who are contemplating an Ostomy or who already have an Ostomy.

The group is comprised of both men and women who have Ostomies.  Some members have had their Ostomy for 2 or 3 years while others have had theirs for over 30 years.  Our members travel, enjoy all kinds of sports like rock climing, skiing and bicycling and live their lives like anyone else.  What this means is our members have 'been there and done that'.  So they can offer needed support and answer questions to someone who may be new to their Ostomy.

Our membership also includes 5 Enterostomal Therapists or ET Nurses.  Because of their field of expertise, they are a valuable asset to our group.  They can offer advice on everything from solving skin irritations to finding the right appliance for your situation.  Quite often, the ET Nurses know more about how to solve your appliance problem than many doctors.

We encourage you to become a member of our group so we can offer you assistance managing your Ostomy.  In the meantime, please visit the rest of our website.
